Just... Beautiful!

I know it may be a little late for Christmas pictures. But, I just had to share this one with you. All three of them so happy, sitting there clapping. For what reason? i have no idea, they just started clapping. No, I promise we didn't make them do it... if we had tried, they probably wouldn't have. But that's besides the point. Anyway, I love my munchkins, they're just so precious.

Another Funny...

Well, you know how some people are just brutally honest? They say it like it is and that's just that. My oldest child is like that, (He's also only 4). My youngest was sitting on the couch the other night, tuned in to 101 Dalmatians. I went and snuggled up beside him, while we were sitting there cuddling Levi joined us. So, we were all three snuggled tightly into one corner of the couch. Levi looks up at me and so sweetly says "Mommy, I love Ephraim" I replied "that's good Levi." Then he smiles and says, "but I'm sitting on his foot though, cause I have a big butt... but not like YOURS though." Yep just like that. The little darling=)

Finding Time to Read

My husband and I will be married 7 years this coming march. Up until this past year, I have not read one single book since we got married... that's a long time to not be reading. Especially considering I used to read a book a week. Now, don't get me wrong I have read an article here, or a passage there. I have read in the Bible, (though not nearly enough) but not actually sat down and read a book. Well recently I have tried to pick back up on reading, not really storybooks, but books nonetheless. I have read "Shepherding a Child's Heart" by Tedd Tripp, which I recommend to all parents. I have read a book about classical conversations which is basically a home school group that uses the classical method of teaching. And just recently, I read this book:
I must say, if you are a mother, especially of more than one small child, you MUST read this book. It is super easy to read, so even though you're super busy you can read this book. It only took me a couple of hours to read it... aloud! I kept reading parts, and I thought they were so hilarious, that I re-read them to my husband. As previously stated, this book was Sooo funny, and very inspirational, and full of little tips that could help any mom. The author, Rachel Jankovic, wrote this book WHILE she had 5 children ages 5 and under! So, I guess that explains why I liked it so much, seeing as I am expecting my 4th under 4! Anyway it was a great book... you should read it=)

Getting Crafty

Today, I'm talkin bout card making. I've never thought myself necessarily not good at it, but I've never been 100% pleased with my results either. I see homemade cards all the time, and think to myself "oh that's so cute... I could do that" but then when I sit down and actually make a card, it seems my creative juices run dry and I'm left with a so-so card that was probably sparked from other inspiration. There are people in my family, and some of my church family, that are just so darn good at card making. I will admit there is a hint of jealousy in the previous statement. Anyway, long story short, I just recently made a card, for my sis-in-law, that I'm pretty proud of. (If you disagree, keep comments to self and don't burst my bubble... just kidding, sort-of.) I made it for her baby shower (which I didn't get to go to because of still possibly being
contagious =( ) Anyway, here is the front,
along with a little insert I put in:
and this is the inside.
I tried to make it neutral since they aren't finding out what they're having. The suspense is killing me. Well, there it is. So, what do ya think?

Happy Holidays!

Well folks, here it is! A new year. I must say, I did not actually stay up and ring in the new year... and I hope that saying that whatever your doing at the time of new year is what you'll be doing the rest of the year isn't true... because myself and all three kiddos had the flu. Fun stuff. Although this blog is not meant to be a pitty party, so enough of that! Despite being sick we have had a really good Christmas and New Year (so far). We all received a lot of really nice things for Christmas. (not that that's what it's all about) I think our two oldest are getting the hang of the fact that Christmas is Jesus' Birthday... sort of. And that is a wonderful gift in itself. Toys are once again taking over my house, but that's ok. I have over indulged far too many times, but hey, it's the holidays. I can put a post about the homemade gift now that the recipient knows what it is... (will do that soon.) My due date is also lurking right around the corner, and I'm getting very excited to meet my little bundle. Also still a little anxious to be having another so soon. I never posted about it yet, but we do know we're having a boy, I think we have decided to name him Amos Lee. Just a few weeks left. Well, I think that's all the new news right now. What's new with you? How was your Christmas and New Year?
